GYXTW is an armoured outdoor fibre cable for duct, conduit and direct-burial runs between buildings and on FTTx builds. The fibres sit in a single gel-filled loose tube, wrapped in corrugated steel tape armour and a black UV- and moisture-resistant polyethylene jacket. Two embedded steel wires carry the pulling load.
Construction
- 2 to 24 fibres in one gel-filled central loose tube
- Corrugated steel tape (CST) armour
- Two embedded steel wire strength members
- Black UV- and moisture-resistant PE outer jacket
Why use it
- Steel tape armour protects against rodents, crushing and mechanical damage
- Steel wire strength members give high tensile and crush resistance
- Compact, light construction that is quick to pull and terminate
Typical uses
Inter-building backbone and campus links; duct, underground conduit and direct burial; FTTx feeder and distribution.
