An outdoor fibre cross-connect cabinet (GXF5-266 series) for connecting, distributing and patching between backbone (feeder) and distribution cables in fibre access networks. The SMC housing contains cable fixing and protection, splice modules, combined splice/patch termination modules, cable ducts and pigtail storage.
Features
- Distribution capacity up to 144 fibres, across four fibre cable types
- High-strength, corrosion-resistant SMC housing; waterproof, anti-condensation and moisture-resistant
- Horizontal cable duct keeps cable routing neat
- Splicing and patching on the same tray, for easier work and shorter ribbon pigtails
- Termination modules slide out horizontally in 12-fibre units, and each fibre can be drawn out individually, reducing pigtail bends
- Cable cores are sleeved; cables can be fixed and earthed without removing the fibre splitter
Typical uses
Fibre cable termination and jumper connection between backbone and distribution cables in the access network.
