An in-line (horizontal) fibre splice closure for long-term use where surface temperatures swing widely or UV exposure is strong. It also suits direct burial in dry ground or manholes that stay free of water. Cable entries are sealed by winding sealing tape onto the cable until it fills the entry hole, keeping the closure airtight.
