A multi-fibre MPO patch cord with 4, 8 or 12 fibres. Precision-moulded MT ferrules, metal guide pins and precise housings keep the fibres aligned when mated, making installation quicker and cheaper.

About the MT family
The ferrules are made to IEC 61754-5 and the connectors to IEC 61754-7. The family covers:
- MPO or MTP connectors fitted to ribbon (or ribbonised) cable or bare ribbon, with push-pull latching, coupled through an adaptor. MTP adds a removable housing for re-polishing.
- MT ferrules on fibre ribbon, coupled with a spring clamp only.
Multimode connectors are flat polished; single-mode connectors are angle polished at 8°. Other end-face polishes on request.
